How does PIENO help with food waste?

It is estimated that 20% of ripe bananas are discarded before they reach the supermarket, mostly because of their size/shape and short shelf life. This is not the case with green bananas, which allow for farmers to sell their entire crop without waste.

Can I eat PIENO cold and/or as a leftover?

Definitely! You can add ice cubes to the pasta once strained or leave it on the fridge and enjoy it the next day. PIENO holds its texture perfectly.

What is the carb content of PIENO?

Not all carbohydrates are the same. Carbohydrates are composed of fiber, starches and sugar. PIENO has no sugar and 20g of fiber per serving. Overall PIENO has 25% less net carbs than conventional wheat pasta.

Where can I buy PIENO?

Online. At our website (https://naturetoculture.us/product/rotini/)

What do Green bananas taste like?

Green bananas have an earthy, neutral wholesome flavor- ideal for pasta.

What is the difference between a green and yellow banana?

Bananas are harvested green. At this time, they’re packed with resistant starch, minerals and do not contain sugar. When they ripen (turn yellow) they transform the resistant starch to sucrose.

How do you cook PIENO?

PIENO will cook to al dente bite in 3-3:30 minutes. For regular pasta cook for 4 minutes. If you are going to add PIENO to a sauce in a hot pan, you can cook PIENO for 2:30-3 minutes and let it finish cooking in the pan with the sauce.

What is the difference between a prebiotic and a probiotic?

Probiotics are LIVE bacteria and yeasts (microorganisms) that are imperative for your mental and physical health. Prebiotics are the food for probiotics. They are the nourishment for the good bacteria in your gut. They aid in digestion, and can help in weight loss. One of the most beneficial prebiotics is resistant starch.
